1) What is Human Resources management

 
According to Armstrong, M. (1997), Human Resource Management can be defined as “a strategic approach to acquiring, developing, managing, motivating and gaining the commitment of the organization’s key resource – the people who work in and for it.”

In other way it is a process putting right people to the right task thereby making maximum use the employee's talents and abilities to achieve the desired goals and objectives. Every great department needs capable leadership, and human resources is no exception.

Increasingly, HRM is becoming focused on improving workplace culture and employee well-being. Some HR managers now incorporate strategies like mindfulness to boost retention and productivity.



Main objective Of HRM

The main objective of HRM is ensure to availability of right people for right jobs so as the organisational goals are achieved effectively.

Functions of Human Resource Management

Human Resource Management functions can be classified into the following three categories.

1.Managerial Functions,
  • Human resource planing
  • Directing
  • organising
  • controlling
2.Operative Functions,
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Job Analysis and Design
  • Performance Appraisal
  • Training and development

3.Advisory Functions.
  • Advised to Top Management
  • Advised to Departmental Heads

Why is HR so important?


Human resources  plays a major role in developing a organisation's strategy and handling all employee relations.


What is the most important part of HR?

The most important part of HR is the people or employees of an organization. Without them, there is no any existence of hr.
